Breaking the silence of mental illness…

One Moment At A Time

I am working to be a mental health advocate. I want to break the silence of mental illness and show people that they do not have to suffer alone. It is important that people suffering know that they are not alone. I also want to make sure that those not suffering can understand what it is like for those of us that are.

My name is Maresha. I am 32 years old and a wife and mother to 3 boys, ages 14, 5 and 2! I have struggled with mental health since I was 13 years old. I was originally diagnosed with generalized depression and anxiety. Just recently it has been found out that I have ADHD and Bipolar, along with C-PTSD. I just went through my first hospitalization after all this time and I wish I had done it way sooner. I learned so much about myself and the process of mental illness.

I wanted to start this blog to be able to show people that they are not alone! I want to share what I go through on a day to day basis so others will be able to see that there is no shame in having a mental illness and that you can live your life. Remember that there are others out there going through the same thing and there is help for you when you need it.

Be sure to subscribe so you can get emails when I post something new and check out the resources page if you are looking for help!
